Stores I like

Payless. Used to take the kids (and me) there when we were poor, so was happy when I graduated up. But now, I keep fixing on their designer shoes. They need to carry them in all of their stores, though, ordering shoes on line is not a good idea.

Designers I like - Home

Denyse Schmidt does quilts. I love them. I used to love "Swirl" now I think I love this one "String Theory" better. I think I may buy "Strings Attached". I like that she designs in a number of different price points to make her work accessible. I like how she has made quilting modern again.

Designers I like - Clothes

I love Isaac Mizrahi. I didn't like him before he started his mass marketing, but I have bought something from him at Target every single year since his first collection for them. I admire his re-invention of himself, his marketing flair, but most of all I like his clothes. They truly do look good on all sorts of body types, they are classically American.

My darling children, you can always buy me Isaac Mizrahi.
